About Ronski
What is the Ronski app?
The Ronski app is a privacy-first dating app for gay, bi, trans and queer men, with an optional kink survey. It is from Finland, for the Nordics and beyond, and it is not in the app stores yet.
When does it launch?
Releasing at the beginning of 2027, on the App Store and Google Play. Join the waitlist and we will invite you.
Who can use it?
Adults only. You must be 18 or older.
Which devices will it run on?
iPhone and Android, plus a web version for members. It is not in the app stores yet.
How much will it cost?
When Ronski opens, Premium is free for everyone for a while. We will tell you well before that changes.
What is the KINK ID?
Every member will have a KINK ID, which is their username with a QR code. It is a preview for now.
Is Ronski a gay dating app?
Yes. Ronski is a Finnish dating app for gay, bi, trans and queer men. It launches at the beginning of 2027 and is for adults only.
What does the name Ronski mean?
Ronski is an everyday Finnish word that means relaxed, bold and unashamed. The app takes its name from it: be yourself, boldly. The app is not connected to other artists, bands or businesses called Ronski.
How is Ronski different from other gay apps?
Privacy comes first. There is no ad tracking, and we do not sell data. Member data will be stored in the EU, on servers in Sweden. Your location is rounded to about 500 metres before it is stored, and health and sex-life details are sealed with a separate key for each member. Reports are reviewed by real people. Kinks are optional: you choose what your profile shows.
Privacy and safety
Are my messages private?
Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. Photos and voice messages use our storage provider's standard encryption. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: the keys are held on our servers, which is what lets us act on reports. Staff can open a chat only when it is reported, and then only the recent messages saved with the report. Every opening is logged.
Does Ronski show where I am?
Not your exact spot. Other members see only a rounded, blurred distance, and you can hide it. Your location is rounded to about 500 metres before it is stored.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell your data, and the app has no tracking tools.

Can I reserve my username?
Not yet. To keep bots from grabbing names, usernames cannot be reserved before launch. They open when Ronski is in the App Store and Google Play. Joining the waitlist does not reserve a name, and neither does the demo.
