Safety and privacy

• Ronski is for people aged 18 or older.
• We ask for your date of birth when you sign up, and we block anyone under 18.

• Messages are encrypted while they travel and while they are stored. Photos and voice messages use our storage provider's standard encryption.
• Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: the keys are held on our servers, which is what lets us act on reports.
• Our staff can read a conversation only when it is reported, and then only the recent messages saved with the report. Every time a report is opened, it is logged.

• Your location is rounded to about 500 metres before we store it.
• The distance other people see is blurred and rounded too, and you can hide it.

• Your health details and your sex-life details, such as HIV status, testing dates and kink survey results, are sealed with a separate key for each member. Interest and lifestyle tags on your profile are not sealed that way. The sealing protects these details if our database is ever stolen, but it is not end-to-end encryption, so our server can read them to show your profile. They are private unless you choose to share them, and you can take that back at any time.

• You can hide your profile for free.

• The Ronski app has no tracking tools, and we do not sell your data.
• No analytics or ad trackers. Fonts are hosted on our own server. The waitlist form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots.

• You can delete your account in the app.

• You can block and report anyone from their profile or from a chat.
• Reports are reviewed by people. Public photos, such as profile photos, are checked by an automatic scan when they are uploaded, and a reported public photo may be checked again and hidden if it breaks the photo rules. Photos in private chats and private albums are not scanned.

• We do not check identity documents.
• We cannot promise a place is free of bad behaviour. We can give you tools, and act on reports.
